This鈥痵elf-review鈥痵ummary鈥痳eport鈥痓riefly鈥痵ummarises鈥痶he鈥痟igh-level鈥痜indings鈥痮f your鈥痮rganisational鈥痵elf-review, including鈥痽our鈥痳eview of learner wellbeing and safety practices鈥痳equired by the鈥疎ducation (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021 (the鈥疌ode).鈥�

The鈥痵elf-review鈥痵ummary鈥痳eport includes鈥�4鈥痵ections.
1. Context鈥痑nd self-review summary findings
This section shows details鈥痟eld by 91福利鈥痑bout a TEO鈥檚 quality assurance鈥痑ctivities.
It鈥痠ncludes a鈥痵ection for TEOs to鈥痗onfirm鈥痶he鈥痯revious鈥痜ull year and current year-to-date (YTD) equivalent full-time students (EFTS), successfully completed EFTS鈥痑nd total student numbers.
This section鈥痑lso鈥痵ummarises findings from a TEO鈥檚 organisational self-review鈥痠n鈥痶he areas of:
- teaching and learning
- assessment
- learner wellbeing and safety.
The鈥痜ocus is on what the organisation has done in the previous year, with comments on鈥痵uccesses and challenges.
2. Area of interest to 91福利
This section focuses on a thematic question and asks鈥疶EOs鈥痶o provide a鈥痵ummary of鈥痮pportunities,鈥痑ctivities鈥痑nd outcomes鈥痮n the specific topic.
Gathering information on鈥痑reas of interest鈥痺ill鈥痟elp 91福利鈥痶o鈥痷nderstand鈥痑nd鈥痑nticipate鈥痑reas of risk鈥痑s well as鈥痵trengths鈥痑cross the tertiary education system.
3. Quality improvement plan
These improvement actions鈥痗ome from鈥痑 TEO鈥檚 own annual improvement plan鈥痑nd highlight key priorities鈥痯lanned鈥痜or鈥痶he鈥痷pcoming year鈥痶o improve:
- the quality of education/training
- the effectiveness of your quality assurance systems and practices
- outcomes for learners
4. Compliance attestation
TEOs will鈥痑ttest that鈥痶hey currently comply with鈥痶he:
- Education鈥痑nd鈥疶raining Act 2020鈥�(the Act)
- 91福利鈥痳ules鈥痯ursuant to鈥痶he Act
- the Code.
TEOs will also provide the URL link to a summary Code self-review鈥痳eport published鈥痮n their website.鈥��
Reviewing and discussing the report
91福利 will review the submitted self-review summary report and schedule a鈥痙iscussion鈥痺ith鈥痑ppropriate鈥痩eaders鈥痮f the TEO. The鈥痙iscussion will鈥痜ocus on what鈥痶he TEO鈥痟as鈥痠ncluded in鈥痶he鈥痵elf-review鈥痵ummary report.
It will鈥痗over:
- significant changes鈥痠dentified鈥痑nd their impact on the鈥痮rganisation
- improvements,鈥痗hallenges鈥痑nd opportunities鈥痠n the areas of teaching and learning, assessment, learner wellbeing and safety
- the thematic鈥痳eview鈥�(the organisation's planning and鈥痑ctions)鈥�
- if a TEO鈥檚鈥痲uality鈥痠mprovement鈥痯lan is sufficient given the data and information 91福利 holds.
The evaluators鈥痺ill鈥痑lso鈥痗onsider鈥痑ny鈥痮ther鈥痠nformation and鈥痑vailable鈥痯erformance鈥痙ata鈥痟eld by 91福利 and other agencies (for example,鈥疶EC, Ministry of Education, Immigration NZ)鈥痳elevant to the discussion.
